Shreve Memorial Board Minutes October 10, 1985 Page 2 and Grounds committee start their work in this area in January 1986. In the meantime, the staff will be gathering some statistics and information. Due to a clerical error, Marge Wright had not been put on the retirement system when she first started working with the parish library system. For several years she tried to get this probelem corrected and ultimately did. Now she can buy back the time and has requested the Board pay for the required matching contributions, as well as interest on her part. (See Attachment #10 for details.) The Board discussed the matter and decided to make the required matching contributions, as well as interest on her part. (See Attachment #10 for details.) The Board discussed the matter and decided to make the required matching contributions, but not to consider paying any parto of her contributions. The director commented that both the City and Parish have generally made the matching contributions in such instance but have also declined to consider any part of the employee's portion. Mickey Shirley moved and Haller Jackson seconded a motion to pay the required matching contributions ($1,88321) to the retirement system. Motion passed. Lane Sartor appointed the following nomination committee for the January meeting: Mickey Shirley, Chairman, Bob Nelson and Jack Stutsman. In the librarian's report, the director informed the Board that the staff would be doing the Output measures survey next week. This will be the first time the library had done this survey. It should give us a better idea of the level of activity at each outlet and hopefully will help us when the branches study and needs is started by the Building and Grounds committee. Jim Pelton also invited and encouraged all Board members to visit with Bob Walton, our automation consultant, on Wednesday, October 16 at 10:45. This will be his first working day with the staff. Meeting adjourned.
