PEOPLES LIBRARY MAJESTIC BUILDING. SHREVEPORT, LA. May 10, 1923. At a meeting of the board of directors of the Peoples Library this day held, Mrs. Hinton in the chair and Mrs. W.L.Young Secretary, the following proceedings were had: WHEREAS, with the approaching dedication and opening of the Shreve Memorial Library in the City of Shreveport the work of the Peoples Library will be accomplished, and those in charge wish to assure the administrators of the Shreve Memorial Library of our fullest co-operation: BE IT RESOLVED that all of the books, pamphlets and belongings of the Peoples Library be and are hereby tendered and presented in toto to the Shreve memorial Library with the respectful request that they be kept in tact. The above resolution was moved by Mrs. Nelson and duly seconded and unanimously carried. It was further resolved that this action be communicated to the honorable L. E. Thomas, Mayor of the City of Shreveport and to the Board of Directors of the Shreve Memorial Library by Mr. E. H. Randolph. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
