Minutes, Library Board of Control, May 11, 1992, Page 4 committee either by phone or a called meeting if necessary for a final decision since the current insurance expires on June 1, 1992. Mavice Wallette commented that she had talked to several of the minority legislators and that they told her they were not voting for anything for any agency unless minorities had some of the service contracts and business. Mavice Wallette had talked to the director about the Library's service contracts. The state legislators indicated that they thought things were 'too unequal'. This would be a continuing issue with them about any proposed legislation that involved appropriations. The director reported that [redacted] was working in the Loans area but there still existed some tension between [redacted] and [redacted]. Jeff Salter cited a recent (May 8) example of this. A Board member questioned whether the administration might consider transferring one of them. This has not been done. The supervisor is allowed to select from a pool of qualified applicants and no one is assigned to another supervisor due to a forced transfer. Meeting adjourned.
